We have had a super visit from Hornsea Inshore Rescue this morning. Sue and Steve talked to the children about what their role involves and showed them the special clothes and equipment that they use.
The children got to try on the life jackets and helmets and learnt about the lifeboat, helicopter and jet ski.
The children now all know that the safest place to go swimming is in the swimming pool.
We would like to say a big thank you to Sue and Steve for taking the time to visit today and for providing our children here at Farmyard Friends with another wonderful opportunity to find out about roles of people in the wider community.
On Friday 6th April the crew carried out their Personal Survival Techniques training at HOTA in Hull. Thanks to Charities Aid Foundation UK SAR Training Fund for funding this vital training!
